About

Who We Are…

Bear Creek Community Church is located beside Bear Creek Park, the heart of Surrey, British Columbia.  Our church has been a part of the Bear Creek Park Community for over ten years and we are dedicated, each year, to further create the church that God intends for us to be.  We are a part of a larger family of churches called the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada.  Our church is passionate about creating unity by strongly encouraging the involvment of our members & attendees within our ministries.

Our Congregation…

As our church has been formed from three separate churches, (Surrey Neighbourhood Church, Grace Evangelistic Church, and New Life Community Church), we strive to create unity and love in the midst of diversity for God’s glory.  Especially as we are located in Surrey, BC, cultural diversity is evident, including in our congregation.  Many of our ministries focus on that particular aspect of our city.  For instance, we share our buiding with the Vancouver Global Mission Church; a congregational ministry focussing on reaching out to the Korean population of Surrey, in addition, as you will read under “Our Facilities,” we rent out our building to a number of various organizations.

Our Facilites…

Our church building is often filled with activity.  Weekly worship services and ministries for children, youth, and adults provide care for eall ages.  We are also partnered with the Punjabi Christian Center Fellowship; a ministry to the Indo-Canadian population throughout Surrey.  The Bear Creek Children’s Centre Daycare operates in our building throughout Monday to Friday, offering service to parents of children 30 months-five years of age.  In addition, we also share our facility with Conerstone Montessori School which holds daily preschool classes through September to June, also Monday to Friday.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the YCC Taekwondo classes for children take place, led by instrucor David Lister.

Our Worship & Ministries…

At BCCC we have a rotation of approximately four worship groups that volunteer to lead on Sundays.  Within the rotation, we have a wide range of congregation members, both younger and older involved.  At the moment, we do not currently have a senior pastor, therefore, we often have many interim and guest pastors come and preach.  We feel that for now, this gives our congregation the opportunity to always have an exciting and unique message from those of all different backgrounds, calls of worship, & experiences.  Our services begin at 10:00 with a worship continuing until 10:30, when we dismiss the children and youth to their own Sunday Bible Classes, and begin the message.
